Office Manager
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Hours: 30–40 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Flexible for the right candidate.
About Us
Headingley Golf Club is one of Yorkshire’s leading private members’ golf clubs, offering an outstanding golf course, excellent facilities, and a welcoming community atmosphere. We are seeking an organised, professional, and customer-focused Office Manager to join our team and play a key role in the smooth running of the Club.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Office Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Club and will act as a key point of contact for members, visitors, suppliers, and staff. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Club office.
- Act as the first point of contact for member enquiries, visitors, and telephone calls.
- Maintain accurate membership records and databases.
- Process memberships, subscriptions, and member communications.
- Support the General Manager with invoicing and administrative processes.
- Support the organisation of Club competitions, events, and functions.
- Support event planning, diary management, booking administration, and associated processes.
- Monitor and manage office stationery supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as required.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting documentation as required.
- Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Support the General Manager with operational and administrative projects.
- Assist in the management of Club policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an office management, administration, or similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under their own initiative.
- A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Experience working in a busy office environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a golf club, sports club, hospitality venue, or membership organisation.
- Knowledge of golf club management systems and competition software.
